ROW80 – 2024 – Round 1 – Check-in 7 (February, 25th 2024)

Hi everyone!

Note: To keep posts short, I’ve made a Trello board with my goals for the year and beyond. Feel free to check it out if you want to know more about the bigger plan.

My word for the week is EBB AND FLOW.

Weekdays were fine and full of energy, but then on Friday evening, symptoms I thought were a thing of the past came rushing back, just as the girls came back from their dad’s too.

So I’ve been feeling rather despondent these past few days. I hope it’s only because I forgot some meds a couple of times but I’m unsure, and since I had been fine since I started the treatment in early January, I don’t really know what’s going on.

So overall the week went well, it just ended on a more mitigated note. Just when I was back to doing yoga, thinking about my fantasy saga and even considering doing some charity work again, I must confess it felt “unfair,” for lack of a better word.

Round Goals

The tents are done and they’re a huge hit! 😀

We planned on making 6 (2 each) but only had enough cardboard for 4 so I was the assistant (and in charge glue gun , obviously).

Today we’ll start the sleeping bags, which also means the girls’ first sewing lesson, so it might take a little longer, but they’ll get mine soon enough to play with and I’m hoping it will motivate them to work on theirs regularly.

And I found a great channel for crafts without glue gun, so that the girls could actually craft on their own. Of course, the plan is still to do this together but I can sense they’d like to also be able to do some things on their own and I’d definitely like to encourage them to be creative so yay!

Along with the sorting effort, I'll put everything we can use in the new workshop. And since it also has to be fun, we'll start making small pieces of furniture. And I'll take some photos to journal all this.

  • Saving

I'll try and save for future renovation work.

  • Bathroom

I will prepare a work area so as to be ready to finish those walls in June. (But maybe that can wait until April or May, so Round 2 ^^)

Yearly goals

This week, I focused efficiently on sorting and decluttering. At least that is going really well. Annex left aside, I’m probably somewhere around 80% of completion for the whole house. (The annex is more of a Spring and Summer concern anyway, since it has neither heating nor insulation.)

I’m a little behind on business things, though there are no actual deadlines there, so this might explain that.

How about you? What is your word for this week and why? Let me know in the comments. Take care!
