ROW80 – 2024 – Round 1 – Check-in 3 (January, 28th 2024)
Hi everyone!
Note: To keep posts short, I’ve made a Trello board with my goals for the year and beyond. Feel free to check it out if you want to know more about the bigger plan.
My word for the week is RECOVERY.
Something happened and threw me off balance but I was able to bounce back in a couple of days and I’m dealing as well as I could IMHO, while still enjoying happy moments with my kids.
I do feel exhausted and my health has been a bit of a worry, but there’s not much more I can do to improve things, so at least I’m glad I can enjoy whatever is positive in my life.
Other than that, I’ve decided to reorganize how my monthly goals show. It made sense before to have each goal for the month, but since I’ve taken a more quarterly approach this time, I have sometimes 3 identical progress bars and the only difference is how much I intend to do in said month. So to make it simpler and lighter, I’ll just keep them in the final column. What matters is that I’m working on them after all, which you can see as the percentage goes up.
By the end of January
By the end of February
By the end of March
Round Goals
About crafting the dining table and chairs, I’ve had the material for a while. And I found this amazing tutorial too!
As luck would have it, just after watching it, I got a parcel with styrofoam protections that are just the perfect shape, so I’ll use these instead of sponges and cardboard, hopefully making it even easier.
We got started today. Based on the video, I had planned to use some carton to have a smoother texture, and I realized while pasting it on the first prototype it would also be necessary to avoid the hot glue melting the foam (thankfully, I also had some school glue in store ^^; ).
I was hoping we would get to the fabric today but at least it’s the only stage left before gluing the feet in.
As luck would have it, the girls won’t have school on Thursday and I won’t have too many classes either, so that’s when we plan to finish the chairs and make the tables (which should be much simpler).
Anyway, the 3 of us really enjoyed making things together, and that was the whole point, so yay! 😀
And of course that means we’ve planned to do much more crafts in the future. ^^

Yearly goals
You can see where my motivation goes as some cells get colored ahead whereas some others remain so white…
At least I’ve worked on most of my goals for the month, with the exception of fixing these redirecting issues on both my websites (sorry, I know it’s troublesome, I just need to find time and help).
I’ve also been filling the craft column up after getting started and loving it.
