ROW80 – 2024 – Round 2 – Check-in 3 (April, 28th 2024)

Hi everyone!

Note: To keep posts short, I’ve made a Trello board with my goals for the year and beyond. Feel free to check it out if you want to know more about the bigger plan.

My word for the week is BACKUP.

On the one hand, I had to start backing up online lessons while looking for a backup solution to share courses while my website is being fixed (and in case there are other issues).

On the other hand, the divorce means the bank has its say in whether I can keep the house on my own, so I need to think of backup plans to ensure stability for the girls.

While there was comfort in having a situation that worked, having to think outside the box is refreshing and has given me quite an impetus. As a result, I find myself quite motivated in every aspects of my life, which is good as there are only a couple of days left in April and I’ve only met 2 goals for the month. ^^; (Though the crafting goals are only for pleasure and we’ll have some extra time in the next couple of weeks to complete the late ones.)

Round Goals

The oiling is done and the drying is almost done, so we’ll be able to refurnish this week. With time and light, the repairs should become less apparent.

I’ve also started sanding the stairs.

As for crafting, we made some trees.

Yearly goals

This month has been a little slow but I’m reaching my buffer period. Next couple of weeks are for catching up so I’m still confident those goals can be met, even if it’s a little late.

As part of my backup plan, I need to consider building online courses again, but somewhere else. Eventually, I’m sure I can get rid of the problems on my website, but I don’t want to be in that position again, so having the courses on another LMS would be a nice guarantee, along with the Google Doc backup I’ll keep to share in case plan B doesn’t work either at some point. (I doubt it but all websites can go down, so better safe than sorry.) As a result, the online course column got populated all of a sudden.

Also, I thought I could compile worksheets into workbooks in one day but it turns out to be more time-consuming, so I’m reorganizing this a little.

One thing is for sure, the more I look at those purple cells, the more I think they just can’t happen this year.

How about you? What is your word for this week and why? Let me know in the comments. Take care!
