ROW80 – 2024 – Round 1 – Check-in 12 & Wrap-up (March, 31st 2024)
Hi everyone!Â
Note: To keep posts short, I’ve made a Trello board with my goals for the year and beyond. Feel free to check it out if you want to know more about the bigger plan.
My word for the week is OPTIMISM.
I’m not entirely sure why but I just have a good feeling about the future. As a result, my motivation has been high, though not always in the same area, allowing me to make progress on various goals.
I’m posting this quite early because I intend to deal with cleaning up the room I want to sand, so a lot of progress should be made on that front p^retty soon.Â
By the end of January
By the end of February
By the end of March
Round Goals
I had to make some adjustments along the way but overall the Round went well.
No new photo this week as we didn’t get a chance to sew but I’m sure we’ll catch up next weekend. So the beds are in use but not 100% complete since the pillows and blankets need finishing.
My other 90% goal is the preparations for sanding, but since I’m going to complete them today (and hopefully sand tomorrow!) it’s another PASS.
Now I look forward to Round 2. ^^

I'll fix issues ASAP and resume sharing content. UPDATE: I did remove most of the issues but there are tricky ones that will require some time and/or money. As for sharing content, I plan to (even if it's only a little) in Round 2. PASS
-
Quality
I'll keep up-to-date with my field's evolution and make necessary adjustments. UPDATE: I did more than anticipated so PASS.
-
Japanese
I'll make lessons for Genki na Nihongo, hopefully up to chapter 4. UPDATE: I only reached Chapter 3 but I also changed software so it meant converting the originals. PASS

Cleaning
I'll keep cleaning, organizing and decluttering as preparation for future renovation and improvement. For this round, I'd like everything to be in the right room at least. UPDATE: It's not perfect but I'm very happy with where things are right now, so PASS.
-
Barbie House
Along with the sorting effort, I'll put everything we can use in the new workshop. And since it also has to be fun, we'll start making small pieces of furniture. And I'll take some photos to journal all this. PASS
-
Saving
I'll try and save for future renovation work. UPDATE: Not so much this Round, with inflation not helping obviously, but at least I did not spend too much either. 😀 PASS
-
Bathroom
I will prepare a work area so as to be ready to finish those walls in June. (But maybe that can wait until April or May, so Round 2 ^^) POSTPONED

Well-being
I'll meditate at least once a day and I'll practice mindfulness and gratitude in general. I'll rest when I need to and spend quality time with my loved ones. PASS
Yearly goals
There’s still room for adjustments but I think I should be able to stick to the plan now.
I’m actually one month ahead on Story Time and still very motivated about it, so I think that will go well.
The goals in purple (for “wait and see”) will probably not happen, but I’ll keep them just in case. If they do happen, it will mean I have made tremendous progress in the other columns, so that would be great too. 😀
