ROW80 – 2023 – Round 4 – Wrap-up (December, 31st 2023)
Hi everyone!
Note: To keep posts short, I’ve made a Trello board with my goals for the year. Feel free to check it out if you want to know more about the bigger plan.
My word for the round is ABSENT.
I haven’t checked in even once, so that about sums it up.
I did work on some goals, mainly my studies as the term was pretty busy. I also spent a lot of time on myself and my family, so somehow other goals seemed trivial. I realize the grieving process is not over but I’m starting to feel more like myself again. There were other things that I needed to get behind me too, I suppose.
Right now, writing is on my mind but not as something I can see myself doing anytime soon. So I take notes when I have ideas, and that’s good enough for now.
I do have a new creative project though: the girls and I are going to refurbish an old piece of furniture that was heading to the dumpster and turn it into a Barbie house using mostly stuff we have and can recycle. We’re in the planning phase mostly, making room, brainstorming and gathering resources, so I’ll probably start taking photos soon. What’s nice is that it turned out to be the perfect incentive for us to effectively declutter while finding use for some of the stuff that accumulated over the years. 😀

Yearly goals
The first half of the year went OK, then with the double loss, I naturally needed to let go of goals altogether.
Overall, I’m happy I managed to sort my priorities and get what really mattered done (gonna finish that BA one day!). After all, being realistic about what we can do also helps in the long run.
So tons of gray, but that’s fine as it was by choice.
