ROW80 – 2020 – Round 4 – Check-in 2 (October, 18th 2020)
Hi everyone!
After last week’s wedding, we granted ourselves a cooler week with no specific objectives as far as the house is concerned. We focused on resting instead.
Though I usually need clear goals and sometimes felt a bit lost without them, I ended up having a good week. The first two days were hard: I was not sure what to do without anything in Todoist or a big plan for the day. Yet, I ended up realizing I needed that break and should work on sleeping better as my nights have been irregular these past few weeks. So I suppose, as much as I love being efficient and planning a lot, I do need some leeway once in a while.
Another thing I took a break from is social media. For the past 4 weeks, I didn’t use Twitter or Instagram and my use of Facebook was limited to interacting a little with IRL friends and ROWers.
Promoting a book or posting actual content just seemed too much, but last night, I finally felt up to the task again. This tells me I’m in a better place now than I was then.
Now that the first school break is here and we took things slowly as E settled in her new routine as a preschooler, we can finally see some room for doing personal stuff as well as house reno. Hubby started kendo again and I’m doing yoga weekly. We’re even looking to go walking/running weekly too!
So yeah, a good week overall. =)

How about you? Do you do better with a clear set of goals or going with the flow? What level of organization seems to be working best for you?
Feel free to drop me a line to let me know! Take care!

I definitely do better with a structured set of goals. Sometimes you need more laidback days, though. That’s what I usually set up my weekends to be.

Thanks for your reply, Fallon!
I can totally relate to that as I decided a while back that weekends and vacations could not have any work-related stuff. ^^
