ROW80 – 2020 – Round 4 – Check-in 6 (November, 15th 2020)

Hi everyone!

The week started with the school calling to tell us E had pink eye and asking if we could come and get her ASAP, so not so well, especially as she ran a fever and kept waking up at night until Thursday.

But in the end, she was cured in 3 days, just as the physician had predicted, and could go back to school and to her normal sleeping routine by the second half of the week.

No writing per se this week, but I’m focusing on doing yoga or fitness daily. I used to do so back when I lived in Texas, and I never felt better physically and mentally, so this has been a plan for a while, but I just didn’t feel ready to commit to that routine again. Now that both girls are in school, I find it easier to squeeze in a short daily practice.

Nothing too ambitious for now: 10 to 15 minutes of beginners’ yoga or fitness to get back in the race. And just doing that feels so good!

Of course, it takes a little time, but that’s not why I’m not writing. The truth is I just have a lot of work right now, so I find it hard to sit at my computer for anything else.

So a lot happens as far as work-related and personal goals are concerned. And as far as the week goes, I met over 100% of my goals. So overall, tiring, but good. ^^

I’ve been doing yoga almost every morning for three years now. I force myself to get up 15 minutes early every day so that I have those few extra minutes to squeeze it in. I feel something is missing in my day if I don’t at least spend some time on simple stretches and postures. I probably should take the time to do some yoga videos focusing even more on well-being than on physical-being, because that is most where I need the help.

Best wishes on success with your list of goals.

I also try to do yoga on a daily basis, preferably in the morning. It does feel good. There are some nice anxiety yoga videos on Youtube, my favorite being Sarah Beth’s. ^^
