ROW80 – 2023 – Check-in 2 (January, 22nd 2023)

Hi everyone!

My word for the week is PATIENCE.

As we’ve been discussing the possibility of getting back together, I’ve realized that despite my resolve to be patient, I was growing impatient regularly. So I thought about it and I understood why it was so hard. We talked about this too and it felt good to be understood. Of course, things are still pretty much the same as he needs more time to process emotions than I do, but at least it was nice to be able to discuss all this.

Of course, I still feel that life is short and we might be wasting time we’re not so sure we have, but I also accept there’s nothing more I can do about it and he needs the time.

So I’m trying to refocus my energy on my studies. With the new term that started on Monday, that’s actually a good idea, though of course it’s not a perfect strategy as there’s no way my studies can come first in this situation. But at least they’re a nice, productive distraction.

Work helps too, especially the teaching as I have lovely students. ^^
