ROW80 – 2022 – Yearly wrap-up (January, 1st 2023)

Hi everyone and HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Note: To keep posts short, I’ve made a Trello board with my goals for the year. Feel free to check it out if you want to know more about the bigger plan.

My word for the week is MITIGATED.

On the one hand, I could take some time off to relax, but on the other hand with all the changes that are coming, it was sometimes hard to do so.

I also got sick, and so did my daughters, so no biggy but not quite the resting end of year I had hoped for.

On the plus side, my ex has told me he wanted to stop being angry, which should mean less tension between us, and for our daughters too.

But I’m glad 2022 is over, quite frankly.

Now let’s wrap-up December for starters!

It actually went pretty well and I met all my goals. I even got a little ahead on some 2023 goals, so that’s good. ^^

For a moment, I even thought I might complete the first draft of CS2.1, but considering what little time I had, I’m just glad to be a couple of chapters away from completion.

Yearly Wrap-up

And now let’s wrap up a year I’d rather leave behind.

Once again, if we take my circumstances (mostly the break-up) into consideration, I did pretty well.

Of course, I had to twitch a few things, but it’s mostly green so it’s quite a win.

Yellow means somewhere halfway and unsurprisingly that’s where the house stuff stands as we broke up mid-year and even had trouble moving forward before that, mostly due to exterior reasons.

The gray boxes are goals I gave up because it was too much (or the timing was wrong as far a beta-reading us concerned).

So in the end, I managed to stay quite focused while also trying to be realistic regarding my abilities and well-being. That alone is what matters the most today.

I’ll be back next Sunday with new goals for 2023, ROWnd 1 and January! ^^

How about you? What is your word for this week and why? And how did 2022 go? Let me know in the comments. Take care!
