ROW80 – 2022 – Round 4 – Check-in 5 (November, 6th 2022)

Hi everyone!

My word for the week is FUN.

Of course, not all week was fun, but there was a lot of it, including some fun times when my future ex-husband was there.

Obviously, it’s not always that easy and it stirs some other feelings too, not all positive, but I’m glad we can still get along well enough to laugh together.

I do wish we could clarify the situation sooner than later but I do appreciate the opportunity to take time and get a steady job beside my business and try to keep the house (banks won’t have me keep the mortgage without a more regular source of income, which is not something you can just get like that right now).

Since I know the university is in no rush, I’ve decided to start the paperwork on fostering this month. After all, it takes 4 to 6 months just to get your licence, and then you can apply to work for the district as a foster parent, which takes about an extra month, so I can’t just sit around and wait if I want to see my ex move out.

Other than that, we were supposed to celebrate Thanksgiving on Thursday this week but since my ex managed to get the flu (possibly H1N1…), we have to postpone. I just hope none of us gets infected.

Since apparently he got it at the Halloween party he took the girls to, I’m hoping the girls having no symptoms so far is a good sign.

I’ve also finished the mat for my spiritual goddaughter, so I found myself with some extra time in the evenings last week and even reopened Scrivener on Friday night! 😀

No actual writing, just some edits as I’m getting back into the flow of the story of my fantasy saga. But at least, this isn’t on hold anymore.

Let’s hope that resuming Japanese lessons starting tomorrow won’t be too much to keep this going!
